When I was a little kid one of my uncles had one and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. He did have an issue with finding someone to tune the wire wheels, though. He ended up taking it to a motorcycle shop who fixed him up.

Barnes and Noble is still in business?

I worked there last summer and they’re thriving. They’ve got the “Relax and study at the bookstore” vibe nailed. They’ve got a strong customer base because the people who show up want to be there. It’s actually really refreshing.
Actually really enjoyed it as a summer job until fall semester started up.

Gah. I want mine again now.
I had this ‘65 in high school. The want for another one is strong.

The best way to have an old MG.
Red, Cabrio, chrome bumpers and wire wheels.

To this day, it’s been my favorite car I’ve ever driven. My current Toyota MR2 is a close 2nd, but it’s too big by comparison :P

Tiny cars are tiny. It’s still 17 inches longer than our Mini.

That would be an awesome high school car, super cool and barely f ast to get into trouble.

Exactly what //AMG said, the one we go to is pretty quiet and has a Starbucks and cafe area that is always packed. They seem to sell quite a bit of stuff besides books, anime and other Japanese toys, quality notebooks, sketch books, pens, all kinds of stuff like that. I would guess almost 1/4 of the store is dedicated to not book sales.

You have an original Mini? I am extremely jealous.

I haven't been to one in a long long time, but apparently they're in the black. Good on them!
